Update for Term Four - thus far ...
Dear Parents,
What a pleasant surprise that all students will be able to return on Monday 12th October rather than just our junior years. We can't wait to have everyone back - and I'm guessing the feeling is mutual.
There are a couple of changes to the way that the school will operate and many of the initial guidelines remain in place. Please read the following information and as always be ready for an update!
- We will stagger dismissal times with F - Year 2 ending their school day and ready for collection at 3.15pm and Years 3 - 6 at the usual time of 3.30pm. If there is a family who has children in both groups the infant children will join the senior child for the 3.30 for pickup.
- Both Exits and Entrances (Wynnstay Rd and A'Beckett Street) will be accessible at both ends of the day. There will be a manned hygiene station in the foyer and at the back gate where students' temperatures will be taken and sanitiser applied before entering the school. The side gate will not be open in the morning so that all students must pass through one of these points. This means that students with bikes/scooters will have to enter and leave by the back gate (A’Beckett Street).
- We did have an issue last time where parents were congregating at the front gate which makes it difficult to run speedy pick up safely. Please ensure you are distancing while you wait for your child and allowing for speedy pick to be safe and efficient.
- As previously outlined, no parent is to enter the school except by appointment. As the guidelines are very strict about 1 person every 4 meters and 1.5 metres apart so we ask that parents do not stay any longer than required on or near school grounds once they have collected their child from school.
Finally … nothing to do at all with COVID arrangements and back to school, but a couple of dates for your diaries.
We will be celebrating Book week on Thursday 22nd October and it is a dress-up day! The theme is ‘Curious Creatures, Wild Minds’ so you can dress with the theme or a favourite book character. This gives everyone loads of scope to dress up.
This Thursday occurs just before the Grand Final Holiday which is on Friday 23rd October.
We are waiting for further operations guides from the government and the CEM, so please watch the app for updates.
A reminder that either Winter or Summer uniform is acceptable until the end of October. If you need to purchase Summer uniform requirements there is a button on the app named 'Uniform Orders'. The uniforms will be processed in the office and given to your child. If there is an issue with anything regarding the uniform please send an email to Tones in the office (Thursdays and Fridays).
Looking forward to a happy student filled term.
Regards
Francine

Dear Parents,
We hope you had a restful break.
This term, we will continue using Google Classroom and Seesaw as our online platforms during the Remote Learning period. As usual, Monday's planner will be uploaded to Google Classroom on Sunday afternoon at 4 pm. Please ensure your child reads this carefully as all information about their online program can be found there, including Zoom meeting links. We are looking forward to seeing all the Year 4,5,6 students both on Zoom as well as in our classrooms very soon!
Many Thanks,
