On Site Schooling Provision at OLOL
From The Schools Operation Guide, Term 3 2020 - Catholic Education Melbourne
To increase physical distancing across the population and slow the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19), Prep to Year 10 students attending schools in metropolitan Melbourne and Mitchell Shire, except for those specified below, must move to remote and flexible learning from the start of the second week of Term 3.(Monday 20th July)
The following operating model will apply.
Students will be learning from home, except for those in the following categories:
Children on days when they are not able to be supervised at home and no other arrangements can be made. This will be available for children of parents/carers who cannot work from home,
– any student with a disability and vulnerable children, including:
– children in out-of-home care
– children deemed by Child Protection and/or Family Services to be at risk of harm
– children identified by the school as vulnerable
Onsite Provision
Onsite provision will be available at all schools, but only for students in the categories listed above, for the purpose of providing continuity of teaching, learning and support. When onsite learning is provided, temperature checks will be conducted (see below), hand sanitiser will be available at entry points and education will be provided on hand hygiene. Physical distancing will be implemented in classrooms to the extent feasible and unwell
students will be excluded from attending.
The Chief Health Officer has not recommended the use of face masks in schools (see below).
The learning program delivered on site will be the same as the learning program delivered to students undertaking remote learning.
Students learning onsite will be supervised by school staff onsite, but follow the teaching and learning program provided by their classroom teacher.
Following these guidelines, if you fall into one of the categories above and require on-site supervision for your child we ask that you fill in the attached survey so that we can provide for your child/ren.

We ask that you send this back to us asap with the closing time for responses being this Wednesday 15th July 3.30 pm. We will provide all families with further information regarding Flexible and Remote Learning later in the week.
