Please keep me informed of the lighter moments of homeschooling, they amuse me no-end!
Here's a couple I received yesterday!
"I’m discovering I’m not the most patient teacher – Example 1. Today was trying to explain telling the time to ****…. Seems so straight forward…. Ummmmm turns out no!"
"I've just 'collected' ******'s phone and put it in 'the office' since it's a school day"
"It has been an eclectic morning, the start was overwhelming, juggling with all the platforms, different devices... But once I understood all the different platforms, where to find what, what works better with what, how, etc, it was overall a great morning, you did an amazing work, it is clear, fun, engaging, we feel supported, well-directed and confident."
"Just messaging firstly to thank you and the teachers for all the hard work that has gone into setting up the home learning hub ... **** is already beavering away."
God Bless you all,
Francine
Student Attendance Requirements
At OLOL the following processes have been put in place to comply with Government regulations on recording attendance.
- Classroom teachers are only required to mark their roll once a day at 3.30pm
- Teachers will base student attendance on evidence of online activity
- If there is a reason your child/ren will not be able to complete the online work for the day please just notify your child's teacher
- If no work is evident from an individual child the classroom teacher will send an email after several days
- Lack of submitted work will have an impact on the teacher's ability to assess the student for the mandatory mid-year reports.
Remote Learning - Parent Feedback Survey
As we are all learning about the best way to deliver the online learning program we would like to seek your feedback. At the end of next week will be sending out a simple survey to glean from you how it is all going on the home front.
