Term 3 Whole School Mass this Sunday
On Sunday we will be celebrating our Term 3 Whole School Mass at 11:15 am.
As this will be Mrs. Walsh's final Mass as principal of the school it will be held as a special thanksgiving Mass celebrating Francine's 10 years at OLOL School. The communal Morning Tea will be hosted by families in Year 2 and 5/6.
The roster is available here. Thank you to all those who have volunteered. We have a few spots available for the tidy up at the end.
We understand and appreciate that at times families have other commitments but please know that you can drop your contribution to the Morning Tea off at the Church before the Mass or at school on Friday.
We hope to see lots of you at the Mass in celebration of Mrs. Walsh's 10 years in the OLOL School community.
Irene
Dear Parents,
The fabulous Toorak Op Shop (which is run by several churches in our community including St Peter's, Toorak) has run out of winter clothing.
Could everyone please go through their robes and quickly get excess warm clothing down to the Op Shop as quickly as possible? There is an urgent need.
The Toorak Op Shop
1A Carters Lane
Mon - Sat 12.00 pm - 4.00 pm
Please do not drop clothes off outside of these hours - if you have clothes and absolutely can't get there in these hours I will take them down for you - so pop them in my office.
THERE IS A GREAT NEED IN OUR SOCIETY AND THIS IS AN EASY WAY TO HELP!
As always - Thank you for your support.
Chloe Williams (who is Georgie Morgan's Mum and Maddie Morgan's Grandmother) is going to cook and prepare meals for the family every weekend to help out with the following week. The way in which we can now help is to contact Laura Farrell (James Murphy's Mum) who, along with the other Class Reps, will coordinate our OLOL support. Depending on what you can offer, Laura will keep in contact with Chloe to provide what she needs.
There are approximately six months left in the year which makes it about 24 weeks. If we can have families support Chloe each week by either preparing meals, (pies, casseroles, vegetables, pasta, even cakes and snacks etc) or Woolworths/Coles shop vouchers, money, boxes of fresh produce or get in contact with Laura who will stay in contact with Chloe.
This is a focused and sustained level of support that I know is appreciated by the whole family. I'd like to take this opportunity to thank the group of Class Reps that are spearheading this and Laura for being the front person.
There is a roster and so if you think you are in a position to help once, twice, or regularly over the next couple of months please email Laura at laurasfarrell@gmail.com
