Return to Face-to-Face Learning
To keep everyone informed the school received the following advice from the Catholic Education Commission of Victoria (CECV) :
- All staff must wear a face mask at all times indoors and outdoors when at school (except when engaged in teaching), including in staff rooms
- Staff should observe physical distancing, limit mixing in staff rooms and offices, and conduct all-staff meeitngs and professional development online
- Density limits of 1 person per 4 square metres apply to staff areas such as staff lunchrooms and areas accessed by the public, such as the reception area
- To prevent the congregation of parents at school gates and allow safe entry, where necessary, schools should consider staggered start and finish times, and/or separate entrances for different grade or year levels
- Non essential visitors should not be allowed into the school grounds
- All school gatherings such as assemblies and school events should be deferred or held remotely
- Interschool activities are not permitted at this time
This means for OLOL that :
- We will not be staggering start and finish times but we ask that parents leave the school grounds as quickly as possible
- No Circus Skills, Hip Hop or other clubs will run until further notice
- Assemblies will be held via Zoom
Thank you for everything you are doing to keep our school communities safe.
Dear Year 3 and 4 Parents,
As you will have seen in the recent SZapp sent to you on 22nd July, the First Eucharist Masses that were planned for this weekend have now been postponed. The current restrictions allow only 65 in the Church.
We will be in touch when we have more details regarding the change in date.
Kind regards,
Irene

Outstanding School Fees for 2021
This term during our Comparative Theologies units, the children have been learning about Aboriginal culture and traditions. We are very excited to be hosting a special morning tea made with native Australian ingredients on Thursday 12th August, in support of their learning. The Indigenous Australian restaurant, Mabu Mabu is supplying the treats, and you may have even seen their chef conduct a "cooking masterclass" on Masterchef in June. Our SRC have made posters to advertise this special event which you will see around the school and have been attached below.
Our warmest congratulations go to Robert and Felicity on the arrival of their beautiful baby daughter, Amelia. Amelia was born on Friday 16th July and is a sister to Amber Bush (4G).
Our deepest sympathies go to Daniela Miraglia and the Newman family (Allegra and Rico) for the recent loss of her mother and their grandmother. Covid has made these sad times even harder and our thoughts and prayers go out to them.
Remember all of the local businesses
that you’ve asked for years and years
to donate and sponsor your sports clubs,
school events, organisations etc.?
They’re calling in a favour
Answer the call!
