Dear Parents,
We are now well into week two of the remote learning program. Again we ask you to participate in a feedback survey so that we can continue the great planning and implementation done by teachers and attend to items that could use improvement. The link for the survey is HERE.
Our Online Learning HUB is also back up and running - We created this HUB to support online learning last term and it is disappointing that we have had to resurrect it. However, I do feel we are lucky to have the ability to communicate so effectively with you. I can't imagine how we would have continued to teach children at home as effectively, even five years ago.
The HUB is a very valuable website as we use it as the depository to store all the information you require from the school to support your child/children with the remote learning program. It includes pages that address all sorts of remote learning information including:
Guideline for parents, Conditions, and documentation required for Supervised Program, How to use all of the apps and platforms the children will require to access their learning, A comprehensive Wellbeing Page, Cyber Safety requirements, Hygiene protocols, and the Support Number you can call for technical help. There are many other things on there so please if you have not looked at it or used it - please do.
ITS THE GREEN BUTTON IN THE MIDDLE OF THE SZAPP!
One more piece of housekeeping. We have to have immediate communication access to all families should there be an incident at our school or within our community. OLOL has identified that our form of emergency communication will be the school app SZapp. It is your responsibility to ensure that you have this downloaded and operational. If you are experiencing difficulties with any of this please let Mr. McAlister know.
As always if you have questions or queries please feel free to email me, the classroom teachers, or our leadership team.
And finally this from Joshua in the Old Testament … “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”
Enjoy the sun,
Francine
Premier's Reading Challenge 2020 - Closing Date Extended
In light of the disruptions our students have faced due to coronavirus (COVID-19), the 2020 Premiers’ Reading Challenge has been extended by two weeks.
We hope the extension gives our students more time to finish reading their books.
The 2020 Challenge will now close on Friday 18 September.
Happy Reading!
