We thank You for the gift of our fathers.
They give us life, love, and guidance.
Bless them with Your strength,
Your wisdom, and Your peace.
May they reflect Your fatherly care,
Providing for our needs,
Protecting us from harm,
And leading us closer to You.
Grant them joy in their role as fathers,
And the grace to carry out their duties with love.
Bless those who have gone before us,
And welcome them into Your loving embrace.
We ask this through Christ, our Lord.
Amen.
Dear OLOL Families,
The past week at OLOL has been filled with excitement, thanks to a series of fun events and the addition of a special mural.
As winter comes to an end, the level of illness in our community remains a concern. Over the past two weeks, we've seen several staff and students unwell, which is understandably worrying. It's crucial that any students who are unwell stay at home until they fully recover. This will help reduce the spread of illness throughout the school. Our staff follows the same guidelines. Hopefully, this is just a small hurdle, and we'll see improvement in the coming weeks.
On Monday, our talented Year 3 and 4 students showcased their skills during the lunchtime talent quest. The performances were spectacular, and it's clear we have a fantastic level of talent among our students! You can view some photos below.
On Tuesday, Bayley Mifsud joined us to paint our new OLOL Indigenous art mural, and it looks AMAZING! A big thank you to everyone in our school community who contributed to the fundraising efforts for this beautiful piece of art, which will now be a permanent part of our school.
Looking ahead, we have two HUGE days coming up at OLOL. Tomorrow, we will celebrate all our Dads and special friends, and next Wednesday, we will welcome our Grandparents to showcase our students' learning. These will be two busy but very exciting days for everyone.
Lastly, we’ve been reviewing our communication methods with our school community and exploring ways to improve. We’re currently testing a new system that we hope to roll out next term. Stay tuned for more details at the end of the term.
Together, we can achieve great things. Thank you for your continued support and dedication.

Our school is participating in Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools – School Improvement Surveys (MACSSIS). MACSSIS is an annual process whereby schools listen to the thoughts and feelings that students in Years 4-6, families and staff have about how their school can improve.
Next week you will receive an email with instructions on how to complete the survey as well as a personalised PIN.
We do hope that as many people as possible will complete the survey as it helps when planning for the next academic year.
Thank you.
