Embracing the Technological World.
At OLOL we, are conscious of the constantly changing and challenging world that our students will encounter in their lives. We endeavour to engage in learning that prepares our students for the increasingly technological society in which they already are active members.
Students have access to networked computers at all year levels. The students have the opportunity to engage with different technological devices including PCs, iPads and Chromebooks. Our innovative Chromebook Program enables each child in Years 5 and 6 to have his/her own Chromebook in order to fully engage with the online aspects of the senior curriculum. All computer devices have access to both the internet and a variety of educational software packages which enhance planning, presentation, numeracy and literacy skills.
As part of the Chromebook program the school is a registered as a Google Apps for Education School. This allows the school community (students, staff, admin and parents) access to a range of secure applications that enable online collaboration and links to the digital world.
Students use a range of multimedia resources as well as the Internet and are responsible for the upkeep and production of their digital portfolios.
